Precision Analog Systems’ 9715/AO provides thirty two, analog
output channels on a 6U format, VMEbus card. Each channel has a
separate twelve bit Digital to Analog Converter, (DAC), with 6 uSec
settling time. The DAC outputs and four digital outputs are available
on a pair of DB37 connectors at the card’s front
panel. All of the analog outputs can be isolated from the
field through low impedance FET switches. External synchronization
signals and the card’s reference voltage are terminated in
a separate connector at the front panel.
Six program selectable output voltage ranges are available from
+/- 10 Volts to 0 to 2.5 Volts. DAC update mode is also programmable,
and allows the outputs to either update immediately, update on a
positive or negative external sync. pulse, or update on a software
sync. pulse. The programmable features of this card allow it to
be software configured to meet the requirements of your application.
VME addressing of A16, A24, or A32 is supported, and 16 or 32 bit
VME data can be transferred. Thirty two bit writes allow two DAC
channels to be updated during a single VME bus cycle. Additional
features include, a board identifier PROM, control and status register,
and DAC loopback registers.
