PAS 9740/DO : 16 Channel VME Pattern
Generator Card
Links to printable product info:
Precision Analog System's PAS 9740/DO "Pattern Generator"
card outputs arbitrary data patterns on its sixteen data lines,
based on information that is programmed into its FIFO memory. These
data patterns can be programmed to change once every microsecond,
which allows the card to simulate high speed pulse output devices,
such as crankshaft position sensors. On board sequencer logic compares
the time value that is stored in the FIFO with the time of the card's
1 microsecond clock. When the times compare, the outputs are
updated to the data value associated with that time.
The card contains FIFO's that are 32 bits wide and 512 locations
deep. The 1 microsecond clock registers are 32 bits wide.
In systems that contain several boards, one board can be designated
the master and used to enable all of the other clock registers.
All of the clock registers can be incremented from the VME system
clock or from their onboard oscillators.
